Aborigin ry. is a non profit registered in Finland. The association was established in 2001 by Naag Y. Nagwetch, a nominee of the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards (2005),  Eric E. van Monckhoven and Arttu Launis.

Over the years, Aborigin has collaborated with various organizations in Finland, including The Finnish Canadian Society, Kaisa, Faces, the Global Music Center, and the World Village Festival, to name a few.

Our main scopes are:

- to be a window on Canadian Aboriginal music, arts and culture in Finland, the Nordic countries and Europe;

- to encourage cultural cooperation between indigenous communities of Canada and Europe;

- to facilitate the circulation of Canadian Aboriginal artists in Finland, the Nordic countries and  the European Union.
